A potato becomes sick by becoming a sickly shade of mold y ness. Of course, GLaDOS would probably just short or in a shockingly grotesque manner, causing the potato to become a knish. She would become mashed potatoes and be shorted out so badly she would fry the potato in essence, making a big knish.
