This story was very well-written! Your characterization was fresh and interesting, and the plot and OCs were not just well-developed but intriguing to boot. Kudos on such a great story :)

Supernatural Fanfiction Monthly Awards Review (October 2016):

Your story pulled me in and kept me going, from the first chapter to the last. Your original characters were strong but didn't overpower Sam and Dean, who stayed central throughout. The hook-up at the bar was a bit of a red herring but I thought it was a bit too obvious, but it took me a while to figure out who the villain was.

Nice use of medical knowledge throughout the story as well... Also a great way to turn the tables on the monster at the end. I thought both brothers had strong central roles in the story and even while being overtaken, Dean was never purely the victim.

Thank you for a fairly well-balanced, enjoyable story.

This is so good, I had to read it in one go. Great plot, completely believable characters, perfect descriptive paragraphs and brisk action scenes.
The whole story is very well written, but for me the brotherly banter at the beginning and the end really seal the deal.
ngregory763 chapter 12 . 10/1/2016
This was fantastic! I just loved seeing the effect of Dean's typical self sacrifice soaked into the dark soul of that monster. You have a flare for telling a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat...hope you have more for me. THANKS!
ReverendMother621 chapter 12 . 6/19/2016
Wow...VERY NICE! What an original and beautiful idea - I loved it! :-D
Freya922 chapter 12 . 5/3/2016
Bravo! This was the most engaging and original story. The Dark Muse was a cool concept, but having Dean "corrupt" her with his goodness, devotion, and tendency to self-sacrifice? Brilliant! The whole device of Dean being able to see people's light was an amazing way to explore character and the ending with Cleo receiving the painting of her essence - loved it. Terrific read.
Freya922 chapter 9 . 4/24/2016
Oh yay! *claps hands* Cleo knows about Dark Muses! That is too freakin' awesome. She's gotta help Sam, she's gotta help Sam NOW because Dean's lovely spirit is spinning out and away and I am not coping well.
Freya922 chapter 8 . 4/23/2016
This story rocks...and it's making me procrastinate, dammit. Have to present at a conference in a couple weeks, but am I prepping? Nope.

Love the connection to Van Gogh and his brother - what a cool parallel. Love that it's really all about Dean's beautiful spirit, how the Muse hungers for it.
Freya922 chapter 7 . 4/23/2016
Oh no! Oh shit! I do not like this Dark Muse - she is tearing Dean apart on such an intimate level, and now the spell didn't work and she's GOT him, post ECT and all. You are giving me an ulcer.
Freya922 chapter 5 . 4/21/2016
Intense and terrifying (yet unique) peril...and one of the most eloquent descriptions of Dean's essence I have ever encountered. It took my breath away.
Freya922 chapter 4 . 4/17/2016
Poor Dean! I can feel how excruciating the sensory onslaught is, and hence the relief when he picks up that pencil. Love your minor characters, each (as in the Show) so detailed, especially Cleo and Dr. Liron. Dean frustrates me when he won't stay DOWN when injured, dammit, but is that ever canon - like both of them at the end of "Red Meat!
Freya922 chapter 3 . 4/16/2016
I adore your vivid descriptions of Dean's sensory experiences - so cool, yet unnerving and clearly dangerous! Leana is making me VERY nervous, and I need to know what she just gave Dean in that bag right NOW! Unfortunately, I promised my 81 year old mom that we would squee over Outlander at 9; it must wait. *chews nails*
