The Navy would be better suited to run the fleet. They have a bigger budget which can be increased without much scrutiny unlike the Air Force, they know the value of picket ships and fleet tenders unlike the Air Force, and they have submarines which perform 3 dimensional combat in what are basically submerged ships. The Air Force works with single man planes! Putting the Air Force on charge of the SGC in canon was a seriously stupid mistake.

The overall story was good, great in-fact, but you greatly downplayed just how advanced asgard tech and ancient cloaking tech is. The asgards and ancients are older than even the prothians and even the gouald are older than the oldest race in the mass effect universe in present time, when it comes to space. The Hammod would have scanned those ships and seen that their weapons were not a treat to their shield and after raising the shield they would have attempted communication.

Wow this fic has a lot of potential. It was a lovely read hope you finish it.

Thank you finally someone who realized that it would not be a navy in control of the ships at least for one of the reasons. So I say thank you one more time.

Cool story. I like the idea you have for melding the two unis via different 'planes' of the galaxy. :)

Are we expected to believe that 1) the Hammond didn't detect the several mile long artificial object floating in the system and 2) that the first time the Citadel opened a dormant relay in millennia and they don't leave at least one ship in orbit of the first planet the set up on?

While I am disheartened that this fic will likely be discontinued and recycled into SGANE 1.1 - I love the fact your trying to be as close to cannon as possible. I hope to see your new version of this story soon!

Sometimes I forget just how much of a naive idiot Jackson is. First, he doesn't get all the info he can, then he gives that blue bitch more than is absolutely necessary. The NID were right.
