family is not just those related via blood, but any cluster of people that support & nurture & are dependably there for one another. why not have an au where ori uses that innate caring & giving nature of hers used towards providing a mom figure for yachiru? i've read a couple stories with this premise (both were never finished, i think) years ago. if you have enough to create a multi-chap story (of kenhime being parents to yachiru) you should go for it.
