And the nanites never made Jack age backwards. Hello! He got old(er) not younger. Aging backwards would imply getting younger instead of older; and he certainly got older. Unless you're living in some Kind of Benjamin Button world.
Also, why would the nanites cause the baby to grow faster while still in the would, but revert the process once it's born and have it deage into non existence?

So, the wrong name could be forgiven, since the girl isn't important to the Story. But the nanite workings... Seriously not.
