This was fabulous. This will so be my head canon from now on whenever I watch these two episodes. You filled in the mystery of the Swords so nicely, with added suspense and tension all the while exploring Merlin's pain at what he had been forced to do to Morgana. Very nicely done. Great job!

This is just a great story! I'm sad it's over because it's been so fun to read; but I look forward to your next post.
I liked the explanations in this last chapter as they explore an area that is not well explained in the show,(Merlin's guilt over his his poisoning of Morgana, and how he began to live with that awful decision) even though it remains a critical point of fate.
I was a bit sad that after all of Arthur's efforts to save Merlin's life, a little angsty reunion scene between the two was not to be. sniff- sniff. (you know us fan girls...) You did a remarkable job with hitting all the critical elements that make Merlin the wonderful universe it is. Keep going!

And so we come to the end? Is there more? Another story in the pipeline? I really hope so as your writing is magical and flowing and wonderful!
