Yes, that was good storry. It is somewhat strange feeling, but you are totally in fundamental books, but you are totally in your own storry. That was interesting psychological walk. Thanks a lot.

Oh goodness gracious, I laughed myself silly reading this chapter.

I spent two days reading this, and Neville and Luna don't end up together. Just...wow. I'm not sure whether to be upset or impressed. That was a big step, veering off the path that most writers take. You had a realistic ending, not a happy one.

I should be really mad at you for ending this story the way you did, but surprisingly enough, I'm not. Neville and Luna are two characters that trick you into thinking they would be happy together, when - in my opinion - it's the exact opposite. Their goals in life are much different. While Neville would much rather put down roots and start the family he never got the chance to have, Luna would be exploring the world for the Crumple-Horned Snockack without even thinking of the man waiting for her back home. I appreciate your realistic approach on their relationship, but that doesn't make the end result hurt any less. Wonderful job, overall.

Hey, this an amazing Neville story. I have to applaud you for some of the expressions, word choices, and descriptions placed throughout the story - it's exactly what authors are told to strive for. The plot construction is great, and the readers can expect how there will be a bone between them from the first time Nev brought up the question when they were sitting at the window about Luna finding someone who made her wanna stay, but not asking her to. I feel you've highlighted how Neville is grounded like the roots of a plant, while Luna can't help but migrate like birds through the seasons, it was very enjoyable.
Characterization-wise, I do have to say they seem a bit OOC at times. Especially Harry, who I really don't see partying the way you had him to. And Ginny letting her Harry snog some other girl? Hm... I'd gotten over it though and accounted for it as they having matured since the books, especially the scene with Nev and Ron before he confessed to Luna. Ron was written pretty well there.
Not to mention how I envy the way you wrote Luna at the start of the story (didn't feel her character as much after they'd gotten together, maybe their relationship was already getting to her IMO) as your placement of her being a semi-roommate, her airy tones that isn't as childishly obvious as it was in the books, and just her attitude of being her own person in spite of liking Nev. I can definitely see her growing up from the books to become such a woman. I have to learn a thing or two from you about writing her, despite how I still blame her a bit since the start of them getting together - just me being biased.
On a personally note as well, seeing a story where it somehow links how JK (I presume) bowed to peer pressure and got Luna and Nev together in the movies, back to the initially decided marriage candidates; I'm very grateful someone went and did that.
From your profile, I assume you get practice at your work? Well I hope you go on writing as you're doing great. Though you really do pair Nev up with almost every female person don't you? I'll browse round, but Mrs Weasley and slash I'll stay away from... Why the heck is it even II?
