Reviews for Boggarts, Lesson Two
MonJoh chapter 1 . 4/24/2019
I like your take on Snape's character, his take on dealing with Boggarts, and the subtle hints about a werewolf.
Sage5 chapter 1 . 4/14/2018
Terrific, I could totally picture this. I never thought about how difficult it must be to face your fears in front of your entire class, including friends and enemies. What was Draco's fear in the end? He seemed very quiet.
Guest chapter 1 . 6/27/2016
This is good.
Mayavanaviharini harini chapter 1 . 5/18/2016
Oh my Merlin! This was hilarious..especially the part on Neville.
The Dark One Rising chapter 1 . 1/11/2015
This feels like your dementor story. You have his voice as a teacher down to a tee. Nice characterization for Lupin, too.
N J Dryad chapter 1 . 12/26/2014
This is really good. i wish the discussion on boggarts in the book had been this sensible and insightful.

Snape sounds rather like FDR: "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." As for the moldy cheese, if it tastes as bad as Roquefort, I can't blame anyone for being afraid of it. That stuff's disgusting!
darkdranzer chapter 1 . 10/8/2014
waaah i love the lessons snape sneaks into this. slytherin subtlety. XD
P chapter 1 . 8/28/2014
This story deserves more reviews! Very well-written and in character. It's nice to see a bit more relaxed side of Snape and his Slytherins.
Spidey Legend chapter 1 . 6/14/2014
Oh Snape and his sweet revenge.
TinaMaki chapter 1 . 5/23/2014
Well, I think Snape really is right about that one!
Sheankelor chapter 1 . 3/16/2014
Well done! I do like Severus' lesson and wish that the other students could have learned it as well. Thanks for sharing.
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 10/15/2013
Oh, yes, Snape is teaching them about more than Boggarts. Like, the full moon and why they should be worried about it this year.
Illyria934 chapter 1 . 7/24/2013
That was just brilliant, thank you. I have always found Lupin's Boggart lesson in PoA highly unbelievable. A mummy etc? How are you supposed to make truly horrible things, people are much more likely to be afraid of, funny, like your loved ones dying or the fear of your parents hitting you or the fear of sexual predators. Snape's lesson was full of wisdom and Lupin's was, compared to Sev's, just plain ridiculous.

My favourite moment though was when almost the entire Slytherin group including Severus sighed in relief when the door finally closed behind those noisy Gryffindors! :-)
Guest chapter 1 . 2/25/2013
Hahaha cute!
MuggleCreator chapter 1 . 12/28/2012
Oh Severus, honestly!

The funny thing is, I realised reading this that Harry has taken on this advice without exactly knowing it. Remember in GoF book? He encounters a Dementor, and instead of stopping to think that, "Hey, the Ministry wouldn't place a Dementor in the maze – what if someone couldn't do a Patronus? It must be a Boggart!" he assumes it is the real thing and reacts accordingly, then changes his approach when it becomes obvious he was wrong.
