Although Slade stated that making his children hate him so the Titans would trust them and give them the home he couldn't, Also Slade does have a code of honor, he doesn't act against U.S. interests unless his family threatened he does love them very much, always wanted Slade like an agent of Checkmate more anti hero than villain, Wintergreen their Alfred and Grant as well, Adeline was Slade's first Special Forces instructor
