I enjoy this story and how you've developed the softer side of Kaiba - his insecurity, fear of rejection and neediness. The scenes between him and Anzu are alternately funny and hot. The love scenes are particularly well done too. But I have to say I hate him pressuring her to give up on her creative dream. It just feels all wrong to me, esp as a person who's devoted their life to their creativity and like Anzu suffered for it (although not physically.) To hear him and others reiterate the same poisonous things to her about 'making a career' etc is really painful and is stopping me from enjoying this. I'm not saying it's unrealistic - Kaiba has an immature and selfish streak - but it's hard esp as still too many girls and women are conditioned to let go of their dreams and independence for a man. It also particularly rankles me because a)Kaiba should be able to understand and respect devoting oneself to a dream like him with KaibaCorp/KaibaLand and his inventions and b) he's a freaking BILLIONAIRE, of anyone in the world he could make this work and not force her to choose ffs! Sorry it just makes me mad, like I said it's not unrealistic, I'm just not sympathetic to him right now, esp after he pushed sexual advances on her without getting her consent first in a previous chapter, then gaslit her about it. I know it's a fanfic and all and we know she wants him too, it's just too well written and developed for me not to feel these things. Anyway, I doubt you will see this after all these years but I felt i should say it. Great writing as always, just frustrating plot at this point. Take care.

Wow, what a scene! I thought managed their completing desires and feelings of vulnerability very well. I still couldn't believe though that a) Kaiba had the nerve to initiate a sex act like that without her consent even though she ended up enjoying it AND had the nerve to tell her to stop asking questions about his motives after! I would have slapped him! Nonetheless an interesting exploration of this pairing which I love. I hope you return at some point. All the best! Ps I love the food themes too!
