This was wonderful. I finished the Inheritance cycle almost ten years ago, and I remember loving the series but feeling lost at the end. I wasn't old enough to know that there could be another ending, or that the ending that I read wasn't great. My thoughts came back to this universe and I decided I wanted to check fanfiction. Thank you for giving me a piece of closure to this imperfect but beloved series, something that I didn't even know I needed until now.

Well written, very few errors as far as grammar and even fewer when pertaining to the characters themselves. I agree with you that Inheritance was rather annoyingly unfinished but I believe that was because Paolini intends to write another book; so don't give him to much grief for the unsatisfactory ending. I am interested to see where you end up going with this story.

I'm glad that you had Arya turn down the position of Queen. This was one of my main gripes with Christopher Paolini's ending. The story expounded on how Dragon Riders were never meant to rule and how they were supposed to be a separate 3rd party tasked with keeping the peace between the different races. When I read that Arya was the new Queen of the elves I felt like I had just been slapped in the face, it was a complete contradiction to the underlying message of the book series.

I really hope that the story progresses with the Arya and Eragon storyline. So far the story has been 90% about Murtagh and Nasuada which is not what the character filters on the story indicate. They state that this is supposed to be a Eragon S. and Arya story.

I was interested in reading this story because I was not happy with the way the Inheritance Cycle ended. There were several issues that didn't have an adequate resolution in the books. The two main issues being the resolutions for both Murtagh's and Arya's storylines. That being said... I'm not a huge fan of how Murtagh's storyline is proceeding in this story. I feel like Eragon is trying to force people to forget about the terrible things that he did. Yes, he was being controlled but forcing the issue in front of everyone is not a good idea. Additionally, Eragon is now the leader of the dragon riders. Since he's now the oldest rider he is responsible for all the Eldunari and dragon eggs. Having Arya leave with one of the dragon eggs without so much as a by your leave does not sit well with me. Arya should have gotten permission from Eragon to take the egg. I feel as if this story is taking away much of the leadership role that Eragon possess which was one of the things that the canon story got right.

Fairly interesting so far. I’ll definitely finish it.
