I loved it! It's one of those fics I'll go back to whenever I need my Chelsie fix!

As I said, my heart did really skip a beat when she started talking about why she refused Joe. And the whole thing just left me with a silly smile on my face.

Now hurry up with that epilogue!

I really enjoyed reading this story. The only critical comment that I can make is that I suspect that English is not your primary language and so there are some anachronisms that should be addressed...for example, use of the world 'classy' when 'classic good looks' would have been more in keeping with the time period. Then there are the missed translations such as - "You must think of me as nonsense" - when it might have been better expressed as "You must think of me as silly". But these are minor issues that could be addressed by finding a BETA whose primary language is English.

Despite these things, your story is beautiful, heart-warming and very 'visual'. I could really see the spring day and walking around the grounds and 'discovering' the wild roses. It was 'picture perfect' and I wouldn't recommend changing any of the concept or storyline. And it really was in-character for Charles and Elsie both...discovering love at such a late stage in their lives...and the fact that he thinks she's even more beautiful and he's even more in love after all these years. That's the kind of man I would want courting me!
