I'm so glad they both managed to have a great Thanksgiving, and I do hope you enjoyed yours as well! I actually missed turkey dinner with my family this year, and while I didn't realise I needed something like this when I first clicked on it; it was exactly what I needed to fill the little space in my heart that needed filling! I only wish I found it sooner!

Aww, this chapter is too cute. Virgil's family is so sweet, especially his grandma. What? Robert actually threw mashed potatoes at his sister-well he was a child, so it's possible.

I love the friendship moment between Richie and Virgil at the end. Richie's line about the toothfairy is too funny. Even with the humor it made for a nice, tender moment between the two. Virgil's line about missing more than just gravy is too sweet.

Amazing work with this chapter. It's a nice, realistic, family story with events that can actually happen. All families have that one relative they can't stand to see at holidays. This sounds like it will be a most interesting story.

You did a great job with setting up the story. The fact that the family knows how the grandmother is and that they have to do things like put away the pictures of Richie's friends so she won't comment on it are really nice details.

Good work with the scene between Richie and his mother. It's sweet that she's so caring toward him, it will make a nice contrast to how his grandmother treats him. Also nice work with including the bit on how his father loves and accepts him.
