Intesting take on things here and thank you for posting it.

This story is just a repeat of the books with a few extra characters thrown in along with a few other minor changes. Harry is incredibly stupid in this story which I don't think he would be if Marlene and Sirius raised him. Why did both Marlene and Sirius portkey to the order? Marlene could have gone and claimed her daughter. They could have gone in with weapons, shields, a portkey out, etc. You need to rework this story.

I Made it to chapter 6. The story is bare bones and reads more like an outline with some dialog rather than a full story. The biggest drawback for me is the lack of character development. Roxanne is a cookie cutter snarky protagonist. Harry is just...blank. The story is uninteresting and I have a feeling it's an author who sees themselves in the character of Roxanne and is having some fun inserting themselves into the Harry Potter universe rather than trying to tell a more involved story. Well, great for you author, but I an not interested.

Thanks for sharing your interesting story. I would have enjoyed it more had the chapters been properly set up, and if a good beta reader or editor had helped with some rather serious continuity errors (who was the Hogwart's Triwizard champion - Angelina or Draco? And how did Draco enter when he was in the same year as the others? Where did Pansy get a baby in the few months the others were away from Hogwart's? Why would Slytherin's locket burn Roxanna in one scene, but not in the next? And many, many more.)

But your basic plot was somewhat different, and there were enough interesting enough elements to keep me reading since it was posted as a completed fic. I'd never have plowed through it had I seen it as a WIP. Thanks again for sharing it.

Ugh. What's the point of writing a story if you just basically steal all the plot from J.K Rowling with just a few improvisations and two OCs. For God's sake just delete it and write something new. I have been reading fanfiction since 2006 and never read such a horrible one. Please read stories good writers, so that atleast you have an idea how to write. Saying it is disappointing is an understatement.

Wait WHY did you delete Wanted in order to put it all back into A Different Start? Why didn't you just keep Wanted and just change the title, and post each new chapter seperately? At least the other way people who've already left signed reviews for this story could post new ones to tell you what they think if it was in multi chapters, but with it all in ONE chapter people who left signed reviews before can't do it now, and would have to leave unsigned in guest reviews if they want to leave a new comment.

Another troll thinking writing is so simple a mere suggestion is enough to satisfy.

Is it only for me that this story went from second year Harry/Charles and Cassi with the basilisk to first year Harry and Alexis with the midnight duel and the troll...? I'm really confused... Otherwise the first five chapters were really good.

It seems like the chapter sequence got messed up and there were name changes, Charles to James. This makes the story hard to follow, but it seems well written apart from that.
