I think in the end, no matter how strong Natsume was, he was always a victim of his own fire. I can imagine him dying later on in life. Not when he was young, mind you, but I can't see how this will end in a happy note for both Mikan and him. There is no way he'll live as long as her. And in a (sick, sick) way, it's for the best. She won't leave him and die before him. He's not going to be alone while he's alive.

It's good that you make him graduating Alice Academy and having no further mention of the school stalking or forcing him to be on their side anymore. For someone burdened with the crimes he did since he was young, it's probably for the best that they let him go.
