So, RATN is coming into the home stretch, huh? Huh… I was kinda hoping we were entering the second of three (or more) acts when some of CG’s cast were exiled to Equestria after so many chapters. While the two series’ specific attitudes are in contrast to one another, that doesn’t mean some mixing of the two wouldn’t add to the story. As it is, Earth-CG has seen a continuance of the drama, the tragedy, and betrayal of war and rebellion but with a foe who exists on a much higher power level*, while Suzaku and C2 have been on what amounts to an extended vacation in Equestria, although there has been some hints of Suzaku’s inner demons being addressed at some point, as well as V2 starting some sh-t.
Glad to see Nunnally get some “screen time” in this chapter, even though she’s continuing her canon role of damsel in distress constantly holding the kidnapping ball. I had hoped for some time spent alongside the CMC’s and some further character growth, but seeing the world from her perspective and showing a little teeth during her talk with Shirley was still worth reading. I’m biased, of course; my own ideas for CG fanfics have her become more active, whether it’s due to simple character growth that the show’s writers only dumped into the last few episodes of R2, or due to a change in events averting or undoing her canon impairments.
Speaking of character growth, this last chapter again shows how, out of all its characters, Kallen is the one closest to being an actual hero within CG (another thing that reappears in my own ideas). While Lelouch may have magnanimous long-term goals, his methods can be questionable and often have tons of unforeseen consequences, as has happened here. It doesn’t help that he’s too often selfish, as he again comes close to abandoning everything when it looks like his sister will become another consequence of his actions.
*Speaking of which, has Nightmare Moon been your intended Big Bad for this story since the get go, or did you ever consider others from MLP’s rogues’ gallery? Dropping Discord would make for an interesting scenario, as it would again be the whole world under threat from a walking curb stomp of a menace, but instead a Mr. Mxyzptlk-ian “trickster god” who values fun and entertainment over conquest and worship. One can almost hear the Q vs. Picard-style banter between him and the much more easily apoplectic Lelouch (among others).

Wait a minute, C.C's cutie mark is the infinity symbol? Are you saying her special talent is being immortal? Because if so that's not how cutie marks work, pal. They're actually more similar to Geass. Lulu's one is absolute obedience, and he has aptitudes as a leader and he likes chess. Therefore it makes perfect sense for him to have a cutie mark of a king chess piece representing his affinity with the game, being a leader and giving orders.

But C.C's? No way, immortality is not a special talent of her, it's just a curse that has been passed along for ages. C.C's cutie mark should reflect something about her actual personality, it would make more sense if it was something related to love and stuff given that that was her Geass.
