A wonderful story! It made it difficult to stop reading.
marss chapter 24 . 5/8/2017
Wow. That was some great ride. Misery and hope all mixed together, just as it is in life. Let's hope the first will never stop us from the second. And thanks for writing
romeosami7 chapter 24 . 3/16/2016
what the hell? such a beautiful story and yet another tragic ending. I guess, there's no happily ever after in true batman stories.
well done.
LadyK21 chapter 1 . 8/16/2015
" intense clapping"

That was exceptional, fitting to its counterparts, emotional and driven. Coming to the ultimate pain, passion and question in Bruce's life...where does it end?, When does Batman fade and Bruce's happiness/ life begin?
Irish Luck 19 chapter 24 . 3/30/2015
So. I know it's been years since this was posted and that you're probably never going to see this. But I just wanted to say that I read this story years ago, and it's one of the few that remains as fresh and exquisite as the first time I read it.

The beginning was slow, but the beautifully paced middle and ending more than made up for it. Both your OC and Bruce were nicely drawn; almost perfect counterpoints to each other, and you managed to get a lock on the Batman's enigmatic personality, which I've rarely seen in other fics (also, Alfred's commentary was dry and hilarious). But more than anything, you captured the mood and tone of Gotham-the noir and bittersweet and moral grayness of it all. The little bit of hope in the middle of darkness.

Anyhow. I just wanted to say thank you for writing; your story was one of the ones that inspired me to try fanfiction, and is also one I don't think I'll ever match. I hope that, whatever you've moved on to, you've kept writing, because you really have a gift.
Lazarus495 chapter 24 . 12/12/2014
You write batman like nothing ive ever seen. Beautiful.
Guest chapter 10 . 2/9/2013
I like the idea of bounty hunters just giving up over the Batman.
Guest chapter 8 . 2/9/2013
Lol. I can just see the kids getting chased around. To funny.
Guest chapter 7 . 2/9/2013
Damn. Beautiful imagery. Love it.
Lilybet chapter 24 . 7/14/2012
What I really liked about this story was the way Nocturne got under Batman's skin by virtue of opposite reflection. Diverging paths and clever resolutions. Also the wise use of Robin as a point of hope at the end. Very well worth reading.
SkeNinja chapter 24 . 2/14/2012
I like the ending. Er, that's all I have to say. :D
SkeNinja chapter 20 . 2/13/2012
Yes, hope is a wonderful thing. I respect, though I strongly disaprove, how she's willing to go to jail to pay for her debts. Bruce seems to see the good side in her, so cheers to that. )
SkeNinja chapter 16 . 2/13/2012
O_O

...I am at loss for words...
SkeNinja chapter 13 . 2/13/2012
"Freeze, moth – aaaaahhhh!" That has to be one of the funniest quotes because I can vividly see something like this happening. XD

Anyway, so far this story is great and well-paced. Marlow's character is a bit enigmatic until you enlightened her past, a little.

I like how you used a first point of view instead of omniscient, like how most people do. It pretty much succeeded while you wrote this, and it's nice to personally know the thoughts of Bruce and Nocturne.

Well, I hope that at chapter 24, this story will find some alternative ending unless you chose to discontinue this which I find very saddening. A great piece of work like this shouldn't be stacked in a shelf, never to be touched again.

But like I've stated to most people, this is your story and whether or not you chose to finish it, it will be admired from those who truly find it captivating.
Guest chapter 8 . 10/8/2011
"How crazy do you have to be to think you can frighten the demons out of Hell?" Pretty crazy, but come on, he's a grow man in a bat suit. He never claimed to be sane, just good. Good at bringing down bad guys and bringing justice to the masses.
