Ooh this is verrrry interesting. Your description is wonderful - detailed enough to give me a good idea of this new place without overwhemling me with details or mentioning anything unnecessary. Like you said, I didn't get a very romantic feeling in this chapter, it seemed pretty dark, sinister and foreboding. I can say with relative certainty that something is going to go horribly wrong XD Can't remember if I said this before either, but I really love the portrayals of the characers, especially their dialogue. The three of them work well together, and they all seem very natural. You've clearly thought through a lot of what's going on, and you've definitely got me hooked!

I'm really looking forward to the next chapter, it's great!
