I was on chapter 12 when I realized this story was incomplete... I usually don't even start reading incomplete fics, but I'm SO glad I did this time. Not only I appreciated your style and the fluid rhythm, I loved how delicate and considerate you were in describing this horrible event and the emotions that came after it. I honestly had goosebumps reading the first chapters and I cried later on (the fight in "chapter 13" really got me, just as the heart-to-heart conversation the three of them had did).
I hope you'll finish this work one day, but anyway I just want to thank you for sharing this sweet story. :)

It's 2016 and it's the first fiction I've dared to read about this event. I was on the west coast at the time and didn't know anyone directly who was killed or hurt. But i'm still not over it. Not sure how much I can handle, but I've wondered about what 'canon' Kate and Rick were doing on that day. Strange to think about it.
