Not that it's a sweet story, but the dreaming future part should be left out it's dragging the story out of something important and lovely.
And the in the final you where her question is ignored and part of freaking dream make it quite lame come on! waiting on something you end with that.

Hmmm, i think i get the basic idea behind this story, but it somehow feels a bit forced and battered into shape to get you to the point where you want to be at the end. That McGonagall actually repeats parts of your user page rant about why Hermione is a better fit to Harry than Ginny (as much as i agree with your reasoning) makes it even worse.

Do you know Bollywood movies? They seem strange to western audiences because they somewhat put too much emphasize on every emotion and so a little bit of happyness makes them break out in song and put up these elaborate dance numbers and whatnot... this story is a bit of the opposite to that... whenever an emotional reaction would be expected it's just that important tad too dulled and muted to feel realistic.

I just have to day that was so beautiful.

Nice way to use the (damnable) Epilogue. Pairing that with the Hogwarts scene in his head was inspired.

Harry's answer is perfect, BTW. One fault in a lot of FF is assuming marriage has to be so quick. Even in the (damnable) Epilogue, it is strongly implied that marriages didn't happen until the early/mid twenties.

I mostly enjoyed the story. That said this line annoys me (it is a pet peeve of mine):
"Wandless and non-verbal magic," Hermione said, her voice slow and low, full of reverence and amazement

The reason it annoys me is because in the books and movies Hermione did nonverbal magic more than any other character and as for the use of wandless magic again in both the books and movies Hermione was shown doing that. In the movies she did the confoundus charm wandlessly and in the books we are told she was actively practicing wandless magic by jumping out of trees and slowing her decent amongst other uses of it. I really don't get why fic authors continuously forget that and have Harry suddenly have that ability for no reason (and I mean no reason since often times it doesn't matter to the plot at all).
