This is the first Bellamy one story I have read and I absolutely love it. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was brilliant.

Druella was a Black not a Rosier.

I don’t normally favorite incomplete fics I feel like every chapter had an amazing satisfying ending. This is amazing and beautifully written! 3

Wow. I read this story from start to finish in one day and I almost regret finishing it so fast. It is SO GOOD! The slow burn and interactions between Hermione and Bella is just amazing. I hope you finish it !

Damn! I have to say, the portrayal of domestic abuse in this chapter is probably the most accurate depiction I have seen on this site. At one point in time, I wanted to be a lawyer and studied something called battered woman syndrome and various domestic assault cases. I have to say that much of Hermione’s situation and thoughts in response to the situation here match that of people with this condition and those experiencing domestic abuse. It is quite amazing really, and although I don’t know if you were specifically thinking about this syndrome, the realism of Hermione’s actions and response is a testament to your writing ability and how much thought you are putting into this work. Great job!

Bellatrix’s behaviour is also rather interesting. I imagine a lot of her outrage is stemmed from her anger at her position in life. She knows that she is a gifted witch, and had the potential to be anything, but now she has little to show for it. That would anger most people in her position. Though I suppose this is why she wants the tears. Of course, I also think her past environment (not to mention 16 or so years in a prison that literally has wardens who pray on your soul) has caused a lot of mental trauma, which wouldn’t help with her mood. In many ways you could be sympathetic with her. I also think her domestic abuse of Hermione is probably learned behaviour from her childhood. With her being as smart as she is, Bellatrix might even realize this to some extent.

Excellent beginning! I don’t know if you will respond to reviews seeing as this hasn’t updated in a while, but figured I would share some thoughts :)

Your writing is quite good. The scenes are descriptive, and I think the readers can get a good grasp of Hermione’s thoughts and feelings. I think the unbreakable vow scene was especially well done. Moreover, the reactions of Ron and Harry to Hermione’s deal seemed in character. Great stuff!

Your writing of Bellatrix is amazing as well! I got a sense of unease reading her scenes. I imagine writing her can be difficult, and many other writers, I feel, have a hard time managing it. The only problem I have is with the limits put on Bellatrix through the unbreakable vow. One of the things I like about her character is how wild / free she is and putting a limit on her ability to kill or hurt people takes a part of that away. It is in may ways what makes her special in the HP universe – she comes off as an apex predator of sorts that can maim or kill unexpectedly and unprovoked, and taking this type of quality away, to me, harms her character. That said, I don’t think it will too much of a problem going forward, as the unbreakable vow does stipulate that she can kill in self defence. Self defence, after all, can be open to interpretation so hopefully going forward Bellatrix will still show how dangerous she can be regardless of the vow (I know I seem a little too interested in seeing her cause damage and death, but she is Bellatrix – it is, in many ways, what I am here to see lol!)
