This is really a fantastic story,
And while i would LOVE for this to be
Bigger, i like the way you ended it.

Really sweet! And Yes I have done that once. Though I was a kid waiting for my dad to come home from his cruises, as he was in the Navy, I’ve seen them up close and personal more times than I care to remember.

You did a really great job of showing how you just don’t want to stop touching them, because you’re still kinda afraid they’re going to disappear on you if you do. I remember holding onto the belt loops of my dad’s trousers while he held my mom, just so I could keep ahold of him. I don’t even want to imagine what it would be like to go through it with a lover. That would be so nerve wracking.

Anyway, well done, and beautifully written!

Lestrade is being fatherly and Sally is being almost nice (which is a wonderful change of pace when it comes to her character)!
