This is amazing!

I like this story very much. It's a topic that's not often addressed (as far as I know) and a very interesting one. It's interesting to see another side to the Hetalia-countries, and seeing Spain as the "bad guy" for once is really cool, somehow. He must feel so horrible. Hell, every country must feel horrible, because every country has done sh*t in its past. And oh my God, the tear stains ;(

I liked that Aztec didn't "forgive" him for some reason, but to curse him all the way to her death. I feel like many writers would have made her forgive him, but like this, it's way more realistic. The Spaniards were horrible towards the Aztecs period.

I like the last part, after the Aztec part, too. It finishes the story very nicely :D

This was a really great story and the whole idea of having Spain go along as a soldier was really original and interesting. There were a few historical inaccuracies but I don't think they really matter. I really enjoyed this story a lot. It was heart breaking and your personification of the Aztec Empire was brilliant! I Liked her and her death was haunting. I also like it that you had Germany read this in a journal. It was a creative way to tell it. All in all, this is a really great story and may be one of my favorites now! Thanks for writing it!

Oh my god,you have written this story so well,I felt really sorry for Spain and this fic was depressing for me cause I don't normally read angst stories...I like Humor but this story was simply amazing : )

Wow...this was really good and I especially love how it was from Germany's POV since he and SPain are rarely shown together but have a similar past (expuslsion/killing of Jews and extermination of races) although it was a bit more accidental on Spain's part since it was disease that killed most of the indigneous off.

Oh and also...the history was a bit inaccurate though. Cortés wasn't crazy and he and Montezuma were on pretty good terms. What happened was that another Spaniard, Pánfilo de Narváez, from Cuba was ordered by his governor to "arrest" Cortés because I guess they didn't want to see him succeed in conquering the Aztecs so while Cortés had to leave to fight them, he put Pedro de Alvarado in charge. Montezuma asked if they could celebrate a festival in honor of their God Tezcatlipoca and he said yes. But after the festival started, Alvarado started massacring everyone. The incident is known as the Massacre of the Main Temple. And this was the start of the rebellion. Montezuma actually died when he tried to calm his people down and they threw rocks at him, one hit him and died shortly after. Apparently, Cortéz grieved for him.

Maybe you were thinking about the Incan conquest in which Pizarro really was conquer-happy and did kill the Incan emperor Atahualpa by garrote (a kind of sitting strangulation). But the Spaniards didn't kill Montezuma so yeah...that part was inaccurate.

Other than this though I really liked it because it showed another character's reaction to what Spain did. So for the most part, good job!

Sorry it took me to get to reading this dear. I loved it. Cortes is an ass whole and I guess I never really thought about the fact that the personifications (-Holy shit I spelled that right on my first try? Oo) could feel what happened to their respective countries.

Which makes it all the more depressing. My dear you should not write depressing, because you do write it so well...Please stick with the cute fluffy stuff that could easily make ones night. Lol.

Not to mention I know its probably normal for Hetalia fics, but I like the use of other languages. Kind of a nice way of letting you know who's all in the room with out needing to introduce them...

Did I mention this is the longest review I've ever written? Lol I love you Pumpkin!
