Ow. OW. I have to admit, even though I know Dean's love for Sam never wavered, I miss the open caring affection that he had shown the first few seasons before the whole clusterfuck in season 4 happened.

I've been looking for time-travel fics for a while now, and this satisfied my hunger :) Great fic!

This so could've happened on the show.

I frequently daydream about Dean and Sam hunting something their dad and the wolf-pack hunted when the boys were boys. Something that can overlap time and space, ending with Sam and Dean having to save John and all his ornary friends.

Don't judge. :)

Whee! Awesome. Am also a fan of crossing timelines, and Dean being parental. And Sam spontaneously time-traveling doesn't even strike me as particularly improbable, even though I hope he got back to where he came from afterward. And he spawned a new universe where Dean had different perceptions?

Was especially amused by Dean's asking if he was dead and Sam trying to answer it, given the circumstances.

I loved this, but it left me aching for more! So beautiful, well done!

This line absolutely floored me. Like, punch-to-the-gut-one-of-the-best-lines-ever. It's exactly Sam and perfect for the situation.

And the worst thing is, Sam realised that nothing he does or says to Dean would change anything. I bet it was like a balm to his soul to have his brother's unconditional affection again.
