Reviews for In Your Eyes, the Sea
Advocaat chapter 1 . 4/15/2018
This was...so, so beautiful. You have a gift. This was my first time time reading a Noerah story and I couldn't be happier that this was the one I picked. Gorgeous. You gave me all the feels.
Kallamari chapter 1 . 3/3/2017
This was beautifully done. I love the emphasis on Serah's growth and the way you made her transition of feelings seem natural. I love oblivious Noel in Academia by the way!
cavco chapter 1 . 8/11/2015
I recently found this gem and loved every word of it, thank you.

xSummonerYunax chapter 1 . 10/3/2012
This story was so beautiful, taking us through various scenes in and out of the game and showing the growth of Serah and Noel's relationship. I especially loved the beginning of the story and felt it was a very fleshed out intro that the game sorta just breezes through. Stunning story!
Lemonsnaps chapter 1 . 6/11/2012
This was awesomely awesome! Thanks for the great fic and I hope you'll write more in the future!
shiks chapter 1 . 5/13/2012

Kallamari chapter 1 . 5/11/2012
I'm not too good at reviews, but I absolutely adored your story. The way you captured the characters is enviable and the ending was touching. (I still smile at Noel's obliviousness in Academia, too.)
Iseki chapter 1 . 3/28/2012
You write Noel fantastically. I think there's a lot of delicacy in his nature that could be easily overlooked by fanfic writers but you've nailed each one. My favorite part about this is how subtle yet important the little touch to the back of his hair becomes. It's something we've seen a thousand times, it's one of the model's timely reactions to just about anything and sometimes onscreen it comes across as stilted. But not here. Here it's Noel's particular habit and it speaks volumes for his character.

The ending really does leave an impression. Although I'm not quite yet an avid follower for this pairing I enjoyed the slow and steady incline to romance and the neat finish.

I must also thank you for the enjoyable conclusion of the Snow factor: it was natural, very human, and therefore easy to accept. I think one of the things that keeps me from jumping onboard feet first with this pairing is the fact that Snow might be demonized, so to see Serah herself admit that she was the one to change is a very refreshing idea indeed.
sunflowerspot chapter 1 . 3/5/2012
Beautiful and wonderful in every way! I liked how you described their relationship changing from Noel's point of view. An instant favorite.
Puru chapter 1 . 3/3/2012
Beautiful in every way! I cried, laughed and cried some more! Pure genius!
ff fan girl chapter 1 . 2/27/2012
that was soo nice! i've read all of your serah / noel fics and i must say, you have talent! Would really like it if you would make a fic about the two, post 13-2 timeline. Just a thought! :))
Cinnamon Pink chapter 1 . 2/27/2012
I LOVED THIS. Even though it didn't get romantic until the very end, the way you described how their relationship grew over their journey is very much like how I saw it too. They likely spent months together fighting monsters, growing stronger and solving paradoxes as they jumped through time. Every time I returned to New Bodhum, Gadot would comment on how much they'd changed in such a seemingly short time. But it was only short from the perspective of those standing in place. Serah really did blossom from a damsel in distress needing a protector, to a strong girl capable of protecting herself and it was all thanks to Noel. That's why I loved this story. Serah realizing that she didn't need a knight in shining armor, but a devoted friend and companion who trusted and believed in her. You totally have Noel's character down! Kudos!
wynteralchemyst chapter 1 . 2/25/2012
The very first line hooked me. I love this catalogue of surprises that Noel receives from Serah-because that's how it would be, right? Serah looks like a frail girl, but throughout the game Noel learns more and more about her that proves every assumption is false. Ha ha, I loved the short exchange with Gadot, and the detail that Noel didn't know what to do with himself when Serah started crying. The Academia scene was so adorable, and Noel's embarrassment at the bathing suit was priceless. What shines most in this story is your version of Noel. He's perceptive and protective while retaining some innocence at the same time (which completely makes sense, considering he wasn't subject to the same level of society that Serah was). The ending was lovely, and I really, really enjoyed reading this.

By the way, "seaglass cerulean" is a perfect description of Serah's particular shade of eye color.
PoeticNonsenseNinjaStyle chapter 1 . 2/17/2012
