Beautiful. I loved the part that starts with "Life goes on". Because love is a bit crazy like that, and when you look back at it you remember all the crazy things that made you and him/her into we.

This made my chest ache. Our boys are like this: brilliant and broken and highly dysfunctional and yes, SherlockandJohn, and you've caught all of that perfectly.

(Clingfilm is not what Sherlock or John would use to wrap a burn, though; do you mean gamgee?)
