so, i'm watching glee with my mom and just rewatched "on my way" and had to re-read this to go with it because dammit why isn't this canon?

Oh my gosh, the Kurt/Karofsky stuff in this chapter made me cry. It's silly perhaps since it's so canon and not that amazing really but you write it so well and the way he tells Santana as well as the way Santana notices & appreciates it... it's so adorable and makes me heart kinda swell. :P

The whole chapter was amazing, I love the Brittany/Karofsky interaction and everything else. Them coming to see them in those dresses from that episode... I really thought those were quite gorgeous dresses actually... all the little details like that make your fic so amazing. I've got to check out something else that you've written asap. You've got such a natural talent for this.

I was planning on taking a break from reading this and do something else for a bit, but I couldn't stop myself from reading all 4 chapters in a row. Too compelling and well done. Wonderful. ;) Thank you for the beautiful story.

Also, on an unrelated note... I don't know how you feel about Quinn as a character btw but I've been writing a season 1-based Quinn fic and I plan to update it again soon... and I'd love your opinion on it if you ever had a chance, by the way. Your honest criticism could make me a better writer, I'm sure! And if you liked it (and told me as much), that'd make my day for sure. :D

"roils" - I am learning new vocabulary as I read this fic of yours lol. And ICE, when I saw that in the story description I couldn't quite understand what it meant. In context I figured out it was "In Case of Emergency" but I feel like maybe you should've clarified that somewhere. I don't think it's that common/well known of an abbreviation really. :P

I was really in the mood to read something exploring Santana & Karofsky in a realitistic platonic way. I'd never read anything like that before, in fact I've read very little about either of these two characters... possibly nothing about Karofsky before. :P Idk. I've mainly read like Blaine stuff because I was a beta for someone who adores him even though I'm not his biggest fan - her fics kinda make me love him though lol... and well on my own I've read quite a bit of Quinn/Puck and stuff like that. I'm not that into the Glee fandom fanfiction wise really. I've spent more time reading Gilmore Girls and Harry Potter fanfiction and stuff. So anyway... all that is to say, this is a real first for me, reading this Santana/Karofsky fic. I searched on this site for a Glee fic with these two characters, sorting by number of "favorites", and yours I believe was the first one that came up. :P It's wonderful so far - I've only read chapter 1 so far but I definitely plan to continue and finish all 4. ;)

It's kinda straying from the canon more than I expected for there to have been an ICE number called, let alone 2 (she was the second one on his list, not the first) - on the show of course, his dad found him, so I don't think any ICE numbers would be called, would they? But it works, I went with it, curious to see how this version of events played out in your fic, differently than on the show. I was (am) really into it. I love the Brittana incorporated into it too since I ship them hard haha.

The way you write Santana is SO in character and I love the harshness and rudeness she has about her and how serious the situation is that she *doesn't* retort ina rude way, but that you write what she would have said had it not been this situation. It's such a fun style of writing to read, and it helps Santana stay in character throughout all of it.

I love when she says to Brittany that it's "Dave", I wasn't expecting it but it feels so right, and works really well especially since she finds it strange too to use his first name like that. ;)

Sentences like "Somehow, being too big for the bed makes him look small" really make me love you as a writer. :P FYI.

Overall I just really enjoyed the whole chapter and thank you for giving me something here that I was really craving to read. :P I will continue this story soon.

Yes, after reading it, I restate my opinion that this is what happened in the show. I really hope this wasn't the last time we saw Dave, I like his character.

It's funny, because my last author crazy read, I wrote like paragraphs of feelings. But with these, I just smile and am like "Yes." I'm sorry for the anticlimatic warning.

And yes! Dave is wanting to meet Brittany. I broship Davetana very hard.

This is super late but I only just realised I've never finished this fic. Oops.

But yeah, it's amazingly well written and got me teary. I love the Santofsky friendship and it's just really disappointing that Glee never explored it further. Brittany in this chapter is just adorable and amazing, as always.

Oh and I've been following Sweetest Thing on tumblr. Just wanna drop a line saying how amazing and just achingly beautiful it is. Love your works :D
