Very good version of this old fairy story and well told by you. I don't agree with what you said about Matthew having been a cold-blooded creature who didn't have feelings, however. Cold-blooded the lindorm may have been, but he did have feelings, since he was sensitive and easily hurt. The wonder is that he also knew how to love, given that he had never been shown any before. I must admit that I was prepared to dislike Alfred as he seemed proud and arrogant, but he redeemed himself with his instant affection for his long-lost brother, even though that brother looked like a monster. Gillian, of course, is lovely and what fools the villagers were to be afraid of her. Still, she won in the end as she was rewarded with a handsome prince for her courage. To be honest, the only monster in this story is Queen Francine.

This is faithful to the original Swiss fairy tale, and I love the fem!Prussia (its my first time reading it tho, so take that with a grain of salt). One thing you don't have to take with a grain of salt is my SQUEEING over how this gives me THE DAMN FEEEEEELLLS!

This is so cool! The characters you've chosen fit the roles perfectly, and I like what you've done with Matthew and Alfred's relationship. Their interactions add a depth lacking from the original fairy tale. Excellent job so far!
