I find Dumbledore's behavior terrifying - both evil and insane. It's too dangerous for Harry or anyone close to him to be at Hogwarts.

If I were Harry, I think I'd grab Sirius and Remus, my friends and their families, and anyone else important to me and head for parts unknown. I would leave Fudge, Umbridge, and Skeeter to live in Fudge's make-believe world. But before I left, I'd get him to sign an agreement not to call on me for help when Voldemort finally shows himself and starts killing everyone. That might serve as a wake up call, because anyone with a shred of sense knows the Minister will be on the list to die. Then again, no one ever accused Fudge of having any sense.

If Fudge ignores the wake-up call, then Harry and his friends and family can go into serious training back in Japan - or elsewhere - because even if he leaves, Harry knows there will be a day of reckoning at some point. Meanwhile, a team can work on finding and destroying the Horcruxes, so that they're ready when that day comes.

I suppose Harry could go to the PM and let him know what is happening. The PM and the Queen are definitely aware of the Magical world, having dealt with Grindelwald in WWII and the first Voldemort war. Since we can be sure that Fudge has not been keeping up his responsibilities and reporting problems, the nonmagicals will be ready to lower the boom on him. The Queen won't put up with her subjects being victimized again, and the military will probably be called in. Harry and Co. might be safely housed and trained at a military base, where everyone can also be protected. The military also won't hesitate to bomb Malfoy Manor, Riddle Manor, and those big DE estates out of existence.

I'll bet Cedric will start carrying a second wand after that experience. If he'd had his wand, things would no doubt have gone very differently. I actually thought that with Cedric alive and witnessing everything, Fudge would have no choice to believe what happened. After all, Cedric is well-respected and the child of a Ministry employee. I'm just curious why no one has suggested watching their memories in a Pensieve.

I think McGonagall is being foolish in sending Harry to Snape without a chaperone. Dumbledore also should not even be in the school with Harry. I think there is injury and kidnapping potential from these two.

Lucius acknowledged a life debt back in book 2. I wonder if that is why he's coming to Harry's aid. Although I don't like or trust Lucius (despite finding Jason Isaacs quite dishy), he certainly understands the intricacies of life debts and may feel this is a way to satisfy the Malfoy-Potter debt without entangling himself unduly. Draco obviously has no concept of what they entail and what he owes Harry, based on his behavior. Of course, Lucius hates Dumbledore, too, so it could be that he simply views this as a way to get his hated nemesis out of Hogwarts and out of the Wizengamot. We shall see.

I loved the Wizengamot session, but since this is only chapter five, is sure there is a lot of time yet for Dumbledore to cause havoc. I'm glad Sirius is finally cleared. I just hope he has fixed things so Malfoy can't knock him off and claim the Black Lordship for Draco. That would be sad.

Evan being 6 when his parents were murdered by Death Eaters means they didn't actually stop when Voldemort fell. Maybe they were less active than before, but this debunks the narrative that the civil war ended when Voldy was defeated by Harry. I'm not sure why the band would be concerned about the castle as a whole learning about the RoR, because it became common knowledge in Harry's first year in this story.
Also, nobody questioned Moody using the Imperius on the students, and he never told them he'd received permission to do so for educational purposes. 14-year-olds aren't too stupid to remember that the Unforgivables are highly illegal that quickly in that situation. Also, you mention Luna being in that class, but she's in the year below, so wouldn't be there.

How could Harry have been wondering who the year's DADA Professor would be? He was already told about him TWICE. He was also told about the TWT, so I'm not sure why he thought he needed to look it up all of a sudden. Harry seems suspiciously forgetful for someone who maintains a map of everything he's learned on a wall.

In the first paragraph you have him going all emo again giving the sheople what they want and talking about learning to apparate which he has been doing since book two. I'm lost. You also have him questioning about moody when he already spoke to serious after saying he and James plowed through the trainers even moody.
I can understand not wanting harry to show off all of his skills to or infront of worm tail , but losing situational awareness in the middle of the fight so you have him take Harry's blood the same way as in the books/movies?

What is the point of all this bad ass ninja training if he never uses it and still does stupid shit so the story is following canon almost exactly. I'm done. Leaving dangerous enemies around because they might have info is stupid. All problems at this point are self inflicted. Harry could stop it all already and is choosing not to. This story just makes everyone out to be idiots since they have all this training and knowledge and just let canon mistakes happen anyway. No point in reading more since I know exactly what will happen but with a few ninja skills thrown in that don't make any difference.
