This was a wonderful character study of Kuno-really. You have nothing to feel insecure about with this piece.

What I liked the most about this story is how well you did Kuno's diary entries. You could feel the anguish, the joy, the fervour and all the other emotions Kuno was feeling when he wrote about Nabiki (and the other events).

The ending of this story was abrupt, but that's ultimately a minor flaw in what is another great work of yours.

I like this short fic. Its a sequel in a way to the part previous story. If I this was the sequel then umbrella of lies is like the prequel. How in the end, Juno and nabiki got together eventually. I really love your writing. Please make more kuno / nabiki stories. It more hurt nabiki reading about akane but I think nabiki knew this was was past musings of kuno.

Really cute! I just love that pairing, being more subtile than others. And you brought them to life, Kuno's romantic and way over-the-top behavior and Nabiki's somehow not caring attitude.

Wow! Your writing is fantastic! The story has such a pleasant flow to it, and every single character is kept in character, you've added a greater depth to them, and your story remains true to the feel/air of the show.

I'm quite interested with Nabiki and Kuno, Nabiki being sweet and all (being cold as no exception) and Kuno as rude (going as far as saying to her "shut up woman!"). And I've always wondered where Nabiki got the Kuno baby nickname which just sounds so cute.

Btw, you did a great job.

For some reason, NabikiXKuno appeals to me greatly. Maybe I just like side characters, since the main pairing is overdone. Either way, a brilliant ending to a story I really liked.

Have I ever noticed how hostile Tatewaki Kuno is towards Nabiki Tendo, especially at the very beginning of the series?

Yes, yes, I have- and I've touched upon it briefly in my own fics, but not as thoroughly as this. I think I've maybe seen one or two fics in all my years as a Ranma 1/2 fan that explored Nabiki and Kuno's relationship before Ranma and Akane showed up, so thank you for handling this overlooked subject so skillfully! Many writers might make a story interspersed with letters or diary entries a bit tedious, but not you! :)

Well-written story, everyone seems to be in character as usual and you've clearly put some thought into their past together. Heck, if it was more wacky/comedic and had more ghost cats, fan service/nudity or silly martial arts techniques or something- hey, then it feels like it could almost be canon! :D

I always wanted to either write or read a story where Nabiki really DID take Kuno up on his offer to exchange diaries in that infamous "Extra! Extra! Kuno and Nabiki" anime episode, and so far, this fic seems like the closest thing to it that I'm gonna get- oh, what an excellent "substitute", though!
