I'm seriously crying, here. This was brilliant. The way you put it together, the way you wrote your characters (I mean, Merlin's point of view was simply spot on), the way you seemed to be able to put pure /emotion/ into words... I loved reading this. This was fantastic. Seriously fantastic.

I like this. I like how you've realized and shown how both boys are going to take some time to adjust to what's happened, instead of simply jumping ahead to "Arthur became king and married Gwen and then all three were happy go lucky in all they did". That's not real, in reality or in the world of Merlin.

Honestly, I really liked this story, despite you not being entirely happy with it. I didn't think it was so out of character. I especially liked this little dialogue between them:

"Merlin?" He said after a moment, blinking rapidly to try and restore balance to his universe.

"Yes sire?"

"Am I ever going to understand you?"

"What fun would that be?"

"...You may have a point." The king sighed heavily. "I'm sorry, about before. I didn't mean it."

I so can see something like that in the show. Anyway... I'm just letting you know that I, for one, am glad you shared this story. Thank you!
