This shouldn't have been cut - it's really great.

Ah, nice to see the extended version of Sam recovering, and the acceptance by Dean of allowing Angela to be part of the team again. That was probably a changing point for Angela and Sam too. He let her know he really considered her to ba a friend, and that he wasn't trying to get her and Dean to talk, but rather he was trying to save her life. I bet Angela doesn't have too many people doing that for her, she usually is saving them. Go Sam! :)
