I love that you went with Grunt's bit. It adds levity to the thread of things coming to an end that runs through the end of this chapter. Take your pleasures while you can, folks.

"Surrounded by her crew - my family - Shepard took a deep breath and began working to put the tensions of the past few days behind her." - And that is exactly what I took away from the DLC. The game alludes to it, but the DLC solidifies it, even if Shepard doesn't quite say it.

"Kate, you care about people, you're willing to give them a chance, and sometimes crazy pays off. Look at Wrex, Grunt, Jack, Legion, even your partnership with the Illusive Man. People thought you were crazy getting involved with each of them, but-" He shrugged, not needing to finish his sentence. "Just not this time." - Ooh, I love to see Kaidan being realistic and supportive!

""Oh, so that's how it's going to be, hmm?" she said, pulling her shirt off and tossing it aside.

Kaidan smiled, his pants falling to the ground as he yanked his shirt over his head. "Mm hmm."" - \

RAWR! Her priorities seem back on track! Aww, I do love these two. Their relationship has really grown and matured nicely. Well done, Biff!

"If you'd told me this morning that a toothbrush would save the Normandy, I would have been very skeptical. Remind me to replace it." - No kidding. I loved Traynor's little fit too.

"'Please recycle this junk'? That fucking bitch! Jesus Christ, what about my fish? If she kills my fish-"

"Shepard, I think I heard her mention the armory." Kaidan tipped his head toward the elevator. - LOL, the voice of reason keeping Shepard on point. But the fish!

"Plan B? What the hell is Plan B?"

Ignoring the continued dialogue in her ear, Shepard rolled to another point of cover. Pausing to reload, she heard Joker say, "We're bait? Plan B stands for bait?" - Hahaha! Always with the bait! Shepard's crew is going to kick her ass one of these days.

She swallowed hard and cleared her throat, blinking at him, and finally nodded several times. "I just watched myself-gah!" - Imagine that? How awful must that feel? But she tried to save her. Good Kate.

"Come on. I need to check on my fish." - LOL, aw, cuddle up to the fishies. And Kaidan!

Great chapter, full of excitement and laughs. Now, let's get his party started! XD

Ah! This was great. All the time in that vault I was wondering if Glyph was still out there. :) Brooks was good! I was completely taken by surprise. By... well, everything. I kind of wish I'd played this DLC!

""I can't believe I fell for Brooks's act. Goddamnit. When we get out of here, I am going to track those bitches down and I am going to beat the shit out of them both." She emphasized her point by slamming her fist into her other hand.

Wrex grunted. "Now you're talkin'. I'll hold 'em down for you so you can really do it right."" - LOL, Love her fit! Because you know she would!

"Kaidan nodded, his lip twitching against a smile. "Yes, ma'am. What happens in the vault, stays in the vault."" I totally laughed out loud here. Very smooth, Kaidan.

Woo hoo! Well deserved rest and relaxation. A pity they didn't get to enjoy the apartment all to themselves. :) Looking forward to the big gala! Meanwhile I will try to imagine Kaidan dressed in black tie. :)
