Since I've only just discovered this gem of a story, I don't know what everyone (*cough*clojo*cough*) seems to be complaining about. I think it's a great read! It's clear, precise, organized, and it covers a very serious topic! Bullying is no laughing matter, and you didn't try to skimp on the details because you wanted to make it more appealing to younger audiences. And for that, I really thank you. When artists sugarcoat serious things, people don't take it as seriously as they need to. And you didn't sugarcoat it at all. I'm very impressed, to say the least. I think this is definitely one of my favorite - if not my favorite - hurt/comfort, bullying, aatc stories out here.
I loved the suspense when Simon wasn't sure if he should do Ryan's homework. I could feel the exhaustion as he slowly lost hour after hour of sleep, trying to help his family more than himself. When he accidentally fell asleep instead of doing Ryan's homework, I was terrified. I could feel my heart pounding. What was going to happen? I thought he was going to give Ryan his own homework, and he would get in trouble or something for not having it done. But when he wrote that letter, I knew what the hero decided to do. I thought he was going to die... But he didn't! Thank goodness, everything was okay. Oh man, this was a great story. I really, really liked it. I'm bookmarking this page so I can find it later, for when I want to read it again. Because this is definitely good enough for another read. It's not too long, not too short, and they're all in character.

Very, very nice job. I'm going to need to check out your other stories; if this one is this good, I can't imagine what your others are like!

Not nice to read

This whole story would be a good lesson for standing up to your enemies and for showing what could happen in a situation like the one in this story. Bullying: not cool. Great job on this story. Glad Simon lives. He was so brave and he stood up to his enemy. Way to go Simon!
