I like the fic do more space fights

I'm absolutely loving Roger as a character. The way you're slooowly drip-feeding us the information we need to infer his background (abandonment issues?) is superb writing.

The melding of universes is also very cleanly done. It's up there with another of my current faves, Mythos Effect by Omniscient1, which blends ME with Lovecraft - the amount of effort both of you have gone to is incredible.

I come to this fanfic every year or two just to see how it is doing. Personally one of my all time favourites.

[4 Guys, 1 Coffin song]

But more seriously, this was an amazing story to read, and even if we never did get those final two chapters it's still one hell of a ride forward.

I want the Rachni to show up and then be utterly horrified over how the Shepards were treated in the end of it all. They owe their survival as a species to these two, and I wouldn't be surprised if they viewed them as 'literally heroes' as a result.

Why did nobody mention that Benezia supported the Rachni? Can't blame humanity if they left it up to an Asari.
Malgrath chapter 25 . 5/27
To be fair, Volker has experience fighting on scale and ferocity nor seen since Post-War, and those were tribal wars, not millions of men and machines duking it out over a whole continent.
Goge Vandire chapter 3 . 5/23
Quick comment, your take on the Kingdom of the Vatican is extremely sketchy. Allowing women to become priest violates the Ordinatis Sacerdotalis, an Apostolic Letter by Pope John Paul II to the Cardinals. This is heresy and would result is MASSIVE infighting.

John shepard's death
Gotta be honest you didn't develop his character enough to make his death mean something to us
Though he died like a BADASS

A lots of sites will ban you regardless. If your view is different, unfortunately too many sites will shut you up. I know that this happened ages ago, but it is the same today, and i hate it!

Still, thanks for the chapter!
Ggyaruoas chapter 1 . 12/25/2019
I like where this is going, I really do. But, there are just way too many characters being introduced and they are coming in too quickly. I can get over this but I've started subconsciously mashing a few characters together because they are not memorable enough to remember.

Other criticisms are pretty much just nitpicks, but there are enough for me to feel somewhat conflicted over this story.

1. I'm supposed to buy that the Coalition is a professional military organization, so why the hell do people refer to each other with their first names? At least in combat, they should use their second names (if applicable), rank or sir/ma'am, Anderson at one point greets one of the shepards as simply "Jane" after she formally greeted him as "Admiral". Sure, when things are settled down and the characters let their hair down they can call each other whatever they want. This is mostly an issue because there are two shepards and I agree that it would definitely cause confusion if they were both referred to as "shepard" by other characters, but if that's they case why not just have one Shepard to avoid confusion?
2. Some of these characters (sheryl being one of the culprits) are too emotionally unstable to even be accepted in the military, sure she is a crack shot and a real asset, but in a combat situation, somebody who stutters and is awkward and is shy is just a massive liability as their social hesitation could easily lead to a disaster. In a combat situation, if somebody is not at their wits or socially awkward enough to stutter then they could easily relay false information or fail to acknowledge an order. I get it, she's a sniper so she's lonely, but snipers always have spotters with them and if she was as emotional with a spotter as she was everyone else she'd be out of the military in a heartbeat no matter how skilled she is, because if she can't keep her cool around her fellow soldiers then how the hell can she keep cool in a combat situation.
3. The military would never. NEVER. Put twins under the same command, the main reason being that the two have a massive emotional connection, and that could easily jeopardize a mission, if something happened to either one you can bet that the other would be emotionally compromised and may risk themselves or others under their command to save or help their twin. This is exactly the same reason why fraternization is severely regulated, because people who are emotionally invested treat each other differently and this can be catastrophic in a combat situation. Also, even if twins were put under the same command, one would not hold a higher rank than the other.

Eh this is alright, pacing a bit slow and not enough of an AU vibe here. Nevertheless, it's not bad. Pretty good if I do say so myself, just not my type.
