I just discovered Merlin on Amazon and binged the show.
This is an interesting story. I like the idea of it, but it leaves me with a lot of questions. Why did the time traveler show her these events? Was he trying to get her and Arthur together or break them up? Also why end on her banishment after showing her their children? For Gwen, why would she decide to stay away from Arthur after seeing their children? Wouldn't the knowledge of their children show her that their relationship survived her banishment? I think the story would benefit from Gwen having a conversation with the time traveler and simply asking him why he is showing her the future.

this was a great idea for a story, but it was not well written.

So sad! Has Gwen decided to leave Camelot? It's for the best if Arthur was fated to hurt her! Unless Destiny can alter events and prevent Morgana from carrying out her plans to destroy ARWEN? What if Gwen abandoned the home she grew up and start a new life elsewhere where a tragic fate will not visit upon her? If ARWEN were written in the starts then circumstances can be changed to their benefit and reunite them when the time comes?

A like the family moment.

Gwen shouldn't be too forgiving and nice and kind especially with what is stored in the future for her when he banishes her and acquiesces to a marriage of convenience with another! He broke his promise when he couldn't deal with seeing her under an love enchantment kiss Lancelot! Clearly, Arthur has insecurity issues.

If he never banished her and was patient enough to investigate further into her case then he would have discovered perhaps the truth, but he didn't. This is a bastard who used his title and rank to hurt the woman he claims to love, but his actions demonstrate the contrary! BBC should have held off their marriage until the final episodes of a last season. It would have been a joy watching a repentant Arthur determined to win back the love of his life.
