This is beautiful. So quiet and calm and understated and so very together. The way that she takes care of him, and is so sweet about it. Really lovely, I didn't want it to end.

You know, in Croatia this moving away from home is not such a big deal. A lot of kids stay in their homes, some find apartments in the city where they study, but this is something completely new for me.

And I loved this. How she knew what he needed, how she brought him to the place she only had for herself, mom and dad, how she didn't want to tell him where they were going.

Love it!

This was a very enjoyable one-shot.

It was not surprising how you had Rick here with Alexis now settled over at Columbia. Luckily, Kate had an idea to help cheer him up.

I liked Kate's conversation with her dad. It was through Jim that Kate was able to get Rick away from the loft for a few days.

You did a wonderful job with Kate being the one to lead Rick to a mystery location. Loved how he whined about wanting to know where they were going. He did find out that they were going to Connecticut but not where.

I enjoyed the part where they went to the boat and Rick thought that they were stealing it especially when Kate talked about her rebellious youth. That was a nice touch. But he learned otherwise.

Kate did an excellent job of distracting Rick before they went for dinner. The name of the boat, Side-Bar, was perfect. I liked how they talked about how Kate's parents handled her going to Stanford because I think it made Rick feel better about how he was feeling with Alexis being at Columbia and no longer living at home.

The ending was great because Rick seemed to be feeling much better. The banter at the end was so them and fun. Rick's final comment was so him and true.

Excellent job.

What a wonderfully sweet story. And taking them to my state…good thing you didn’t decide to go to the Truck Museum though, ‘cause it closed down. So sad, ran out of money and now the building is up for sale. It was pretty neat while it was open though.

Aaaww it's so sweet. I love it. And look, Papa Beckett was there! I loved that Kate took him there. It was her parents place to run away from the city :) And now it's a little bit theirs too. Why does the name Maeve Flannery sound familiar?
