This was a beautiful fic, through and through. I enjoyed every minute of it, thank you so, so much for writing it.

You put a lot of thought into your characters and their motivations and their daily lives. I appreciate that so much! It's rare to meet a writer who can portray the Link Has Seen Some S*** trope WITHOUT turning him into a broken pile of useless. Thank you for recognizing that Ashei does not tag "yeah" onto every sentence (just most) and that Shad is more than a nerd with a fetish for creepy bird-people. The Chancellor's dialogue was GREAT; like Jafar-meets-Scar levels of refined ooze, and oh-so-dramatic! And darn you for makibg me love a Bulblin. A frickin' Bulblin... I'm gonna feel guilty mowing them down, now. :)

Oh wow... just... this fic affected me more than I'd like to admit. I have to thank you endlessly for writing such a brilliant, amazing story as this. It's amazing how much character development there is and how much everyone grew as people and it's just so overwhelming. The beautiful thing is how much of a human you made link and how he has depression, PTSD, and a lot of other issues and how he blames himself so much and how much he was affected by the war. You are such a brilliant writer and the fact that you made everything out to be so morally grey and how it's not so black and white as good vs. evil... Just wonderful. I also really really really REALLY love LinkxAshei now because of this and a couple other fics I've read. Their relationship is so wonderful and it worked so well how you fleshed out all of their characters and I absolutely can say this is definitely one of the best fics I've ever read. I wonder if you'd make a sequel to this fic? No pressure, of course, but I'm most definitely interested in seeing one. Great job on this phenomenal piece of work.

I love how this chapter is diving into the deep waters. It did a great job of a number of things, as well as Zelda's homosexuality with the nude statues and vow she took to the throne. It also shows even more about Ashei's aggression towards any woman trying to become close to or is close to Link.

I remember that last chapter, there may have something small that would have reminded Link of his horrid adventures and I think he drunk again that night because of it, thus leading to the "YOU STOLE MY RUPEES!" argument.

This chapter darkened things up a bit, with Link scorning himself and Ashei trying on make-up for the first time only to get freaked out. Don't worry, Ashei, I don't wear make-up either because a) I have better things to do then face paint, b) I don't know how to face paint and c) I am an avid blinker, making it very difficult to apply some face paint *insert yet-to-be-invented blinking sad face emoticon here*

You know, I really love how this chapter is really starting to fill out the characters. Part of the reason why I'm reading this is because I want to learn more about well rounded characters like yours and how to achieve such depth. You're just SO amazing at this that I am... not really jealous (I'm not one to feel jealousy much), determined to match that, but in my own, original way. You're my greatest fanfiction idle! I'm GOING to learn from you!

There was so much character development in this story! I think you handled the transition com adolescence to adulthood really well, and I also like how you showcased the complexity of human personalities, and the way you handled Link's illness (treating it as something serious instead of romantisizing it or "woe is me"ing it)... Great job! :D Congrats on sticking with this to its end!
