Reviews for Forget Me Not
ElegantFantasies chapter 1 . 8/14
I can't tell you how *frustrating* they both were- this being a compliment. i felt absolutely *incensed* at this clash, step, parry they kept putting themselves in and then *finallyjust finally- Wendy drops her haughty, upturned demeanor only to slam it back into play as if to punish me. Time and time again, she cuts off her nose to spite her face and I just want to *shake the life out of her uptight little body*. Then I remembered I was reading a story and felt ridiculous. It was *excellent*.
Hermespallas chapter 1 . 7/12
Amazing!
Chamel-ann chapter 2 . 7/3
I wish this story was less wordy. I keep losing the story in these descriptions of Wendy's inner thought. I believe the story to be good I just feel myself wishing to skip through.
rawrsharpii chapter 12 . 6/24
Really amazing story you got here. I loved reading every bit of it, and the slow and agonizingly exciting burn you have written is just fantastic. Thank you for posting and I hope more people come across this story, thus getting the chase to also follow along the character growth of Wendy and James.
NTDWLF chapter 10 . 6/20
I have recently rediscovered my account after using AO3 for a fair few years, and I have completely fallen in love with your writing style again.
The last time I favourited and read your story it was not yet complete!
I adore your use of complex, underused adjectives and the excellent pacing of chapters in Forget Me Not, your sentence structures far surpass many Fanfics I have read. It is very rare to come across such a gem! You write real, believable romance with such angst and tension.
Due to your strong writing style, I have to really READ it, sit in a quiet room with nothing but myself, my kindle and a cup of tea; as to not become distracted and miss important parts. I rarely find a story I cannot stop reading at all hours of the day, but yours is so good
Please continue with more stories! I have noticed you have not updated anything since 2017, and I hope you will take up writing again.

boghipster chapter 12 . 5/7
Wow. Like a lot of others (it seems), I got through this in like 3 days while on lockdown, and it really brightened my days. I stayed up all night because I couldn't put it down. It's so in-character throughout, despite shaking the main characters out of their established canon tracks. I couldn't imagine how a fic like this would find a resolution that worked for all parties, but... it did. This is going in my bookmarks.
I also ended up making not one, but two W/H playlists while I was reading this, so I'm going to leave them here as a thank-you, just in case you're still checking the comments on this and would like some music. Guest chapter 12 . 4/28
This is a lovely lovely amazing story. Thank you for writing it!
bluebirdlady chapter 12 . 4/11
I'm absolutely speechless. I've finished this story in the 2020 covid-19 lockdown, and this story made me temporarily forget the horror that's unfolding outside. What a breathtaking story! I haven't read anything this deliciously tantalising for a long time, and I'm normally a reader of quality literary fiction! This is fantasy at its most exquisite. I didn't want to leave the world you created. And I'm irrevocably in love with your James Hook. What a man you have created! And you dissected his personality with such precision, all his actions now makes sense. I love love love how Wendy grew into such a strong woman worthy of him. And I love how he let her make the ultimate decision. Everything came together perfectly. And most of all I love your writing style and story telling! I hope you are still reading these reviews and that you are still writing. We need stories like this to survive the humdrum of life. Thank you for sharing.
bluebirdlady chapter 7 . 4/10
This chapter had me in tears. I suddenly realised that my high school crush would have to call me auntie if he had met me at my current age. But my memories and feelings don't change. The way Wendy felt seeing the child Peter broke my heart. The pain is exquisite.
bluebirdlady chapter 5 . 4/10
Pure pleasure! Left hanging just in the right place.
bluebirdlady chapter 3 . 4/9
Tantalising!
bluebirdlady chapter 2 . 4/9
I can't believe this is a fanfiction. The writing is so good I'm already hook even though I've never been a Peter Pan fan.
bluebirdlady chapter 1 . 4/8
Im so glad I've found this story! So beautifully written and so beautiful!
PlaguingYourDreams chapter 12 . 3/3
This is hands down probably one of the most beautifully written fan fictions I’ve read. Absolutely amazing
Maze-zen chapter 12 . 2/4
What an amazing story!
I am in no way a fan of Peter Pan or the whole Neverland thing, but I was recommended this and now I'm officially into Captain Hook and pirates.

I loved the way you made Wendy, a personality with so many contraditions I think a lot of women can identity with. Her development is realistic because it's so gradual that even in the last chapter she's still doubting her decisions. But I think everyone can agree that she chose the right path.

And Captain Hook! I've always seem him as a pretty straight-up villain, but you truly made him come alive and explored the character's weaknesss and his reasons.
By god, you made that man irresistable! Such an arrogant, dominant bastard with so many complex es who admires Wendy for being herself and lets her make all the tough decisions on her own. Who doesn't want such a man?
But the best part was that she didn't change him. Not truly. That would be unrealistic. No, she changed the way he viewed his thirst for vengence and most importantly, what his victory needed to be: it didn't have to been the death of Pan, but to be free of him AND to have Wendy forever. Pan had wanted Wendy forever - not as an adult of course - but he had wanted her to choose to stay with him in Neverland. Instead, she had left with Hook. That's a definite win!

You write so beautifully and capture the surroundings, the mood and the symbolism to the characters' struggles so perfectly. I think you should work on getting this published because you definitely write better than most authors.

But I thank you for writing this incredibly fantastic, exciting and sexy adventure. (and sorry for not reviewing every chapter - I was swallowing every word and could barely stop. Maybe I will review each chapter on a reread because this deserves it)
