LoL I am quite sure, I am not the only one, but this ending actuallly is quite a lot better then the original ME3 ending. I remember playing the game and thinking "WTF? Are you kidding me? Noooo way..." at the end. I guess I wasn't alone in thinking this. So thanks. If the rest of the story is just half as good as this chapter, your story will be awesome :)

Dang, I had an inkling of this from the halo story, but Lee was actually more nuanced in his views of the cylons than the shrieking harridan so many fics portray him as.

Hell, you could even call him dispassionate. In the miniseries, he thinks they are stupid, since in war college, they always saw through feints. And then it works, and he becomes Roslin's golden boy.

When it comes down to the genocide, he delivers the tactical plan in black, next to his friend, Helo. And it's a hard scene.

Admiral Adama hurts in it, while Roslin is all "YAY MURDER"

I really wonder what Lee was thinking though, he delivers the genocide plan cold.

I honestly think this is why they made her be a traitor in Gaeta's mutiny, and why she got killed off at the end, even if she does have the highest cylon kill count (post mortem) as her dead hand launches the missiles into the colony.

Thirdy minutes, DRADUS, and whipped are the three typos I see repeatedly in your stories, I just wish I could have told you that when you were writing it, since it would have been a right click to fix back then, and god damned archaeologists tools to fix it now.

Also not a huge fan of how you keep writing in different versions of "This mission just got a lot more complicated" Because I wasn't a big fan of the line in canon, so seeing it in fanfic is like expired milk in a drink.

I do like everything else about this chapter. Baltar got to be an actual scientist instead of the fanfic moron horndog he tends to be. Actual series doesn't even tell us that he signed the order, even with gun to head.

We just see the aftermath of what would have happened if he had.

So seeing him A) not being a horndog, and B) actually thinking, is great. Of course, saying Baltar was a better president than Roslin is like saying "Yes Mrs. Lincoln, but besides that, how did you like the play?"

Roslin outlawed abortion because REASONS. Baltar faced a labor strike because his policies were unpopular. QUITE a difference.

It would have been super amusing if he had been a good president before the cylons showed up. Really would have changed things.

Hell, in your Halo story, you acknowledged that Tigh lost his shit while manning the resistance.

Eh, you're usually hardcore and spot on with characterizations, but I feel like Ash would relate more on the military side when telling Cavil how fucked he is. And she'd have a huge grin on her face while telling him how he will die. Then the omniblade to the heart.

Vega though? He'd laugh.

I didn't notice it was John Sheppard until this chapter, and I guess it's a hazard of you writing Stargate first. I keep flipping between Mark Vanderloo and Joe Flanigan in my head.
