Yes. I can totally see Tim doing that. Because despite all the quarrels, and Dami's typical brattiness, deep down we know the Batboys all love each other :)
I think you played out the emotions extremely well, and everyone was marvelously in character.

I hate it when stories make Damian completely heartless or ones he only quips snark because somewhere inside he's still a kid whether he likes it or not. He'll make mistakes in the field and he's learn to sense when not to speak.
I think you captured that a lot better than what most people write when Tim is hurt of injured fic. Truth is Tim will live is the outcome everyone having everyone except Damian with that focus or at least outer appearance really exemplified lil D's inside worries.

That was kinda cute, but I wish there had been more Tim/Damian interaction. Oh well, still good. Oh, I found one typo. Paragraph 21, sentence 5, "It doesn't matter THAN he took a bullet for him." It should be "It doesn't matter THAT he took a bullet for him." That's all. Good story!

I don't think Damian would really /ever/ be able to recover from Tim dying like that, not really. :C In his own Damian way, he gives a damn if Tim survives. Wonderful read.
