In my quest to find a Thorongil story that I read years ago but cannot seem to find again, I came across this one so I suppose my search was not entirely in vain. This is truly a lovely one-shot! I enjoyed this very much.

This was positively brilliant! Your prose is simply wonderful and the characterisations of both Aragorn and Ecthelion have something of Tolkien himself in them. The imagery was vivid, and everything was as three-dimensional as one could wish for. I tip my hat.
