Meh, the old BBC series with Alec G has a far better cast, Gary Oldman based his George on that of Alex G. But it would have read better with Smiley NOT being his father

I just finished reading "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" and decided it was about time to read this. This is brilliant, a perfect crossover, and your writing and characterisations are (as ever) impeccable. This rather feels like it could be snipped out of something Le Carré would write, and I rather wish this to be Finch's family backstory (sad though be). Again you have produced another wonderful fic.

So utterly wonderful. The perfect backstory for Finch. And your writing is so insightful!
