And I hope Steve gets to unburden properly, he really is struggling.
Mel is a very realistic, likable character. I like her a lot !

Can you please update again? I think this is really cute. I love stories where Steve has a close friend that no one knows about, or they start dating, and he doesn't tell anyone. The way you write is beautiful. Your descriptions of things is what I like most. It's not over the top like some stories are, but has just enough detail that shows what you're thinking of. Please continue. I would really hate to see a story story this mesmerizing go to waste.

I read this all in one go, and, wow. That's all I have to say. The way you portray Steve is spot on. Usually I would think it would be Nat helping Steve with the PTSD(Romanogers fan here) but the way that Mel is there for him is so touching! And he is there for her and just ugh, I really enjoy it. She is so human and normal, and a perfect fit for him the more I think about it. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I agree with Lamminator! I got bored of uptight, stoic SHIELD agents with superhuman abilities, or mutants who have the typical tragic background that involves their parents being killed off in a brutal way, people who soon develop 'special' powers throughout the story and most of all: daughters of Tony Stark with an IQ of 159 and the aura of arrogance. Like, please give us a normal human being with a relatively normal background. Someone's who's extremely relatable, whether they're suffering through things people would suffer through. People need to write more OC's like this. I love this story! It sucks that it's incomplete, but that's okay. Mel's an amazing and relatable character, by the way! I'm sorry if I offended anyone who loves those types of characters I listed above. I just felt like I needed to get it out there.

I absolutely love this story!
Mel is an actual human...I mean obviously, but she's not a SHIELD agent or has special abilities/powers or a waitress (God, those got boring quick). And she has normal human flaws, like not being entirely comfortable around people. She quiet and not trying to be the center of attention. I love her.
I really hope you're able to come back to this story soon because you have me COMPLETELY hooked! And I really want to see Mel and Steve's relationship blossom and grow. They're great together.
Please, please, please continue this! :)
