Really, really good! I liked how determined and courageous Legolas is in this one. He just cannot take no for an answer. He really wants to protect those dear to him. And Dulinneth is such a lovely lady. She's feminine and sweet but I love her quiet strength, her soul. That is just absolutely wonderful. The mark of a true lady. Thranduil is also wonderfully depicted here. I know he seems rather cold in The Hobbit films but elves must care and love their children. I am very pleased that you made him into a very nice loving father to Dulinneth and Legolas. :)

Wow, this was great! I'm even now writing the beginning of a similar series, and I would love it if you could mentor me.

I love this series of stories- one of the reasons is that they are so domestic and the true backdrop of the great epic and heroics of the Quest- you make it absolutely convincing the reasons for Legolas' decision, and not just wanderlust. I love the way you depict him as a husband and father, with real responsibiblties and like soldiers do in life when they feel they have to fight, he has the motivation of knowing his family will be safer. You make him more mature than most fanfic, and the quietest member of the Fellowship has a very very credible biography in your tales.
Dulinneth is perfect here- making herself NOT feel so that ehr husband has strenght is a very real emotion, but at the same time, being absolutely terrified for him. And it's Thranduil who steadies her.

This was very poignant but still it made me happy to think of Legolas having very personal reasons to go on the Quest and that he had a precious wife and son to return to after the Ring War. :)

YAY another story about our two favourite elves! I'm going to be greedy and demand another one-shot about a reunion after the war :P Great to see how caring and family oriented you portrayed Thranduil. I would have liked for Belon to make an appearance though. Good work, looking forward to another story about them soon! hehe
