I really don't understand why Staid is willingly Delphine's bitch. That whole explanation just got skipped over.

Doing another reread, and just wanted to mention how much I like your view of the Dragonborn, the Thu’um, and Dovs. With tidbits like Sahlok and Mirmul being almost conscious inside of him, devouring souls actually making his voice stronger and giving him more than just knowledge of one word, and also just the power of the Thu’um, feels much more like how it is in the lore and not the game.

I like this story a lot! I look forward to how you continue it!

Really liking the way things are going. A young dragonborn growing as time goes on and having to deal with being an even weaker form of a mortal than the normal dragonborn. Plus I can actually see a relationship with Lydia happening even with the Age gap. Not like things of that nature were too out of the norm for that kind of society after all.

Honestly I love this story as much as I love the traveler and it’s spin off one or two shots that explore it’s universe, though it does feel like a few things are given to the player stand in, though of course that is the nature of skyrim, so there’s no real way to alleviate that.

Additionally, with a character such as Fallion, it feels as if he could have slain the dragons that Staid has, with ease considering his far greater skill and power. Especially the first dragon though admittedly that was toying with Staid. Though the feeling that I get for that is in reality extremely minor, it doesn’t bother me at all, I just thought you might like to know.

As for future story, I’d personally love to see more character building on Lydia, specifically on her relationship with magic. Perhaps her reaction to the newest enchantment and her own slow realisation of where the enchantment was learnt, perhaps even the slow acceptance that said enchantment, although coming from a place of evil, has it’s uses, though of course Lydia is stubborn in that aspect. Of course this is a suggestion, and if it is planned already I’d just like to ask that it is a slow turn for Lydia, she’s already shown a little, realistic progress considering it’s been weeks and it’d suck to see her just flip over like a switch.

For Staid and his growth, I personally would love to see him become more efficient, he seems to treat a lot of his fights as a mix of Dazed and Infernus to me, sure he uses his powerful with great purpose and makes sure that he won’t kill himself doing it, but he doesn’t have any particular ability to create battle plans, just a series of attacks, sort of like Infernus, he deals in burst damage and cannot manage a war of attrition since he lacks the stamina of Infernus. So I’d personally love to see someone within the universe kind of breaking the ego he’s gaining by explaining his mistakes later on in the story, though that might not be the direction you want to take.

For Lucia, I think a nice spell for her to surprise Staid with would be figuring out how to transition Candlelight into Magelight, since it seems like it would be a nice transition, and could potentially help her learn to form a fire bolt and launch it with a safer spell if that’s the route you’re taking her (though she’d of course not exactly be creating anything decent, like ember compared to fire blast or blast burn).

Of course everything is a suggestion there, but honestly brilliant work as always, was a blast to read this over the last two days, can’t wait for the next chapter!

Although I suppose I could, wouldn’t want to rush ya!

Great to see this update and the focus on Falion was awesome. He's far too underused but you made both him and Movarth shine.

Very glad you aren't sticking to game logic. It always disappoints me when I see authors nerfing the Voice so hard that Unrelenting Force is basically a gentle breeze.
