I love how you reiterate that they have time. Time to grow again, time to perfect their budding intimacy. This is such a wonderful stand-in ending of how, I think, we ALL wanted to see this series end (but we understand why Suzanne couldn't add it in).

Oh emm gee! I loved this. Your references to them finally "having time" are so poignant and revealing. Indeed, they do, after all the uncertainty of their lives, they got to a point in which they were the drivers of their own destiny and had the time to learn, to explore, to try and fail, to find each other wll over again. No more fear and bindings. Their first time is a homage to that newfound freedom and all the possibilities that come with it.
Loved Katniss boldness expressing her feelings and reassuring him, because he's waited much ltoo long to hear his feelings reciprocated.
You paint such a sweet, tender, naive and endearing picture of their first time in such a beautiful way.

what do you mean, no plot? when it comes to katniss everdeen, anything having to do with feelings COUNTS as plot! that girl is so tightly-wound, even just getting her to admit to any sort of feelings takes a whole damn storyline. xD

that said, i thought this was lovely. it was hot, it was very sweet and much like i imagined their first time would be. i loved how she kept pointing out that she wanted him closer and closer, that was lovely. good job! you should binge on beer, m&ms and fleetwood mac more often. ;)

Beautiful. I feel as if I should print this out and tuck it into the final pages of Mockingjay. This is the ending I wanted. I know it's far too mature for the intended audience, but Suzanne's (bless her for writing such an amazing series) ending always felt a little rushed. I wanted more and you gave it to me. Thank you.
