I’m willing to put up with quite a bit for a MLC fic because they are my favorite kind but I will suspend logic, common sense, or credulity to only a certain degree and this fic has already reached it. The things I simply don’t like are the complete lack of an attempt to use British speech patterns, let alone British jargon and the complete OOC of the characters, Unforgivables are the instance of Hermione’s parents complete acceptance of their daughter being forced into marriage and the absolute worst that managed to combine ever sin of a bad fic, Hermione’s mother's apparent acceptance of the possibility that her adolescent daughter had a sexual relationship with her teacher while she was his student and teasing her while using American slang: “jiggy”? Really?!

Yes, part of the appeal of the Snager ship is the May/December romance but that’s because it’s UNUSUAL. You presented it as if it’s the norm, with no need to ask questions. It’s not normal, there are questions. Lots of questions. Heck, the MLC literally takes the implementation of a law to bring it about! Many people start of angry, Severus and the Grangers usually lead the pack! Your writing in and of itself is more than decent but the elements of the story have to make sense! Sometimes the story is all about the necessity of the nonsensical but you have to plot and explain it. out (I am American, I can use American slang).

I usually review at the end of any fic I read, but while generally I'm enjoying yours, this chapter was horrible. (Mainly, but not exclusively) Hermione’s behaviour here was absolutely childish and unprofessional - to undermine and question the teacher she's apprenticing under during lesson? And to argue about personal matters in front of the students?
Your story is so far very naive and fun. It's of the light reading sort, that I enjoy occasionally, so I believe that my final comment will be much more positive :)

lovely story. so far very well. but as others pointed out I really think you need a Beta-reader and probably rephrasing in Potterverse. Lots of people like me who read this mature couple, it feels a bit strange with kind of narrative we are grown to read from these characters. Eloquent and a bit grown up, especially Hermione's parents and Professor Snape. I am enjoying the way story is getting along though. I hope magic isn't forgotten in every day routine of story.

I wanted to thank and congratulate you for finishing a story! So many people out there start stuff they don’t finish. Now I don’t want to flame but I want to give some criticism. This story needs a good editor or reread to smooth out some of the bumps and unusual phrasing. It has a very rough draft feel to it. There are many people who support this coupling who would love to edit for you. All in all this is a good story that just needs some tidying up. Great job!

It's interesting that they switch pov's, but it's a little annoying that so much dialogue is repeated. I can see why it is, though. I think the pov's are switched too often, to be honest.

I love the dance scenes, and that they're both great dancers :) can't believe he kissed her on the dance floor in the middle of a restaurant, though!
