Great story. I can totally see this happening. It actually reminds me of the opening line of a song called "Crowded." The rest of the song wouldn't work but it starts: "Don't get me started, it's getting kind of crowded in here. Back up off me, I'm feeling like I'm suffocating." I couldn't help but thinking about that while reading.

Is there any chance of a sequel or continuation to this? Because that would be fantastic. I'd love to see the Avengers missing Tony (but not expecting to), maybe even showing up in Malibu and having a moment of realization that while the Tower is home for the rest of them it ISN'T actually where Tony considers his 'home' to be, or Tony finally snapping even further and having a meltdown in front of the others or poor unfortunate Stark employees. Or any combination there of, :)

That said, this was brilliant, and very in character. I loved it!

I love that you touched base on how crowded that tower is going to get when all of the Avengers move in. No one wants to be around their friends 24/7. I really enjoyed this story.

And for some reason, I pictured the aborted attempt by Clint involved him peaking in the window and shouting "Tony! Want pizza? We're getting pizza! . . . Hello?"

I know this is going to sound odd, but I just loved this sentence:
"and only then finally reached out a hand to card slim-strong fingers through his dark hair."
It is just a wonderful and accurate way to say "ran her fingers through his hair," but is so much warmer or something. I loved it.

I guess I just loved how Pepper was able to center Tony. I really enjoy and appreciate that type of interaction.
