Sweet! I think Kenshin is generally well liked by the people on the area. I can see him uncomfortable with the attention, that is not unreasonable. It's nice that Kaoru puts it together for him anyway.. Thank you for writing!

I agree with you in that Kenshin is probably by that time, well-acquainted by the rest of the townspeople and no doubt accepted by them. Yes, they might frown upon the fact that Kaoru took up a boarder, but I think eventually, they came to accept that fact. I could totally see this happening. Kudos to you for stepping out of convention.

Finally, I wanted to thank you that I did not see any of that silly usage of the Japanese language interspersed within your story every other word. I like that you kept it very real, very simple and because of that, your story came across as very powerful. None of that slapstick violence either.

You did awesome for your first story! I really want more from you. In fact, I expect more from you, because heaven knows we need more fanfiction like yours.
